Responsibilities

  • Support the sales cycle through solution-based activities, including customized product demonstrations, proofs of concept, discovery sessions, and hands-on workshops.
  • Lead consultative conversations with prospective customers to understand their FP&A, accounting, consolidation, reporting, and analytics challenges.
  • Confidently present industry and domain expertise to demonstrate a strong understanding of customer needs and EPM best practices.
  • Demonstrate the business benefits and value of Planful’s solutions in the context of each customer’s goals, processes, and pain points.
  • Partner with Account Executives to drive the initial evaluation and qualification of customer opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into compelling solution narratives that show how Planful can improve planning, close, reporting, and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain strong product competence by staying current on new product enhancements, best practices, and market trends across the EPM space.
  • Bring a high level of energy, professionalism, and executive presence to customer and internal interactions.
  • Embrace an entrepreneurial spirit by contributing creative ideas, perspectives, and recommendations across sales cycles and internal initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Enablement teams to support customer outcomes and improve the sales process.

What you Bring to the Table

  • Prior experience working with EPM, CPM, FP&A, consolidation, planning, budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting tools.
  • 3+ years of experience selling EPM solutions, preferably in a pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering, related customer-facing role, or similar roles supporting finance and accounting buyers.
  • Strong working knowledge of FP&A and/or accounting standards, processes, and common challenges faced by finance teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and explain both business and technical issues related to a customer’s proposed solution.
  • Proven ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to finance, accounting, and executive audiences.
  • Strong executive presence with outstanding written, verbal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to execute against a plan, demonstrate ownership, and manage multiple opportunities and priorities effectively.
  • Experience with cloud-based finance, ERP, BI, or analytics solutions is a plus.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong curiosity, and passion for helping customers modernize financial performance management.
