The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organization is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solutions portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design, and efficient adoption roadmaps for our customers.
As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. You will aid your customers and work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support. Your goal of customer success should drive you through the entire organization as you seek out and create scalable solutions for your customer's needs.
Technology moves at lightning speed; a broad knowledge of Internet performance and security technologies is required, and the curiosity to maintain and develop new knowledge is essential to keeping up with the high rate of product innovation at Cloudflare.

Ultimately, you are passionate about technology and have the ability to explain complex technical concepts-like how an edge network reduces "lag" or how WAF rules protect a player's wallet-in easy-to-understand terms. You appreciate the diversity of challenges in working with customers, from managing "micro-burst" traffic spikes to navigating regulatory requirements. - Language: fluent in Ukrainian and English
- 5-to-10 years of experience in the IT industry.
- Vertical Expertise: Understanding the cloud architectures, with main focus on security layers, such as CDN, WAF, SASE and Anti-DDoS..
- Technical "How the Internet Works": * Deep understanding of TCP vs. UDP, why it matters and why it's so critical from security point of view;
- Solid understanding of DDoS mitigation strategies at Layers 3, 4, and 7 to prevent services disruption.
Pre-Sales Excellence: Previous experience in a technical consulting or SE role, with a track record of demonstrating ROI to CTOs and Infrastructure Leads.
- Project Management: Ability to manage complex Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and prioritize between competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent presentation skills with a strong command of business English.
- Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the competitive landscape for CDN, Zero-Trust, and SASE providers.
- Travel: Ability to travel to customer sites, industry events and internal summits.

- Scripting Skills: Demonstrated experience with JavaScript, Python, or Rust, and a desire to help customers build the next generation of serverless features on Cloudflare Workers.
