We are seeking a Senior Staff Engineer (Back-End) to join SentinelOne’s Unified Analyst Experience team. This team is at the forefront of defining and delivering the architecture for our Operations Center experience, which is central to empowering Security Analysts. The Ops Center encompasses Unified Alert Management (UAM), Extended Posture Management (xSPM), Risk Score, Incident Management, Asset Inventory, and all aspects of the Security Analyst's interaction with SentinelOne's platform.

As a key technical leader, you will shape and oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of the systems that drive the Analyst's experience. Your contributions will directly impact how analysts effectively manage and respond to security incidents.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Lead and implement the architecture for core features of the Unified Analyst Experience, ensuring scalability, reliability, and usability.
  • Design and develop APIs and backend systems to unify workflows across UAM, xSPM, and related modules.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Identify and implement improvements to system performance, stability, and security.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices, including code quality, design patterns, and development processes.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and incorporating new technologies, trends, and frameworks into the Ops Center ecosystem.
  • Serve as a technical thought leader, influencing the strategy and roadmap for Analyst-focused capabilities.

What Technology Will You Use?

  • Programming Languages: Java
  • APIs: REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and Kafka
  • Databases: Redis, OpenSearch, Postgres, Clickhouse
  • Platforms: Kubernetes, K8s/Helm, AWS, and GCP

What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in backend software engineering, including technical leadership and architecture design.
  • Expertise in building and optimizing APIs for large-scale systems.
  • Proven experience in designing systems with security and observability in mind.
  • Proficiency with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with security, risk, or observability systems is a major plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with product, UX, and engineering teams to drive solutions from concept to delivery.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills to support team growth and development.
  • Excellent communication and ability to drive alignment across stakeholders.

Base Salary Range
$180,000$225,000 USD
