Seeking a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer to design and maintain scalable backend services for DeFi systems, collaborating closely with a crypto-native team.
The Role
We’re looking for a strong Senior or Staff Backend Engineer passionate about solving complex problems with high-performance solutions. You will play a pivotal role in our journey from testnet to mainnet, with significant ownership in all stages from design, development, deployment, and maintenance. You’ll work closely with a highly experienced, crypto-native team to architect and implement performant backend systems.
What You’ll Do- Design, build, and maintain scalable, mission-critical backend services and APIs powering liquid staking, mev infrastructure and other foundational DeFi systems
- Work on high-performance systems that interact with blockchain networks in real-time
- Collaborate with smart contract engineers, frontend engineers, and leadership to ship end-to-end features
- Contribute to technical decisions and engineering culture across the stack, including system architecture and design patterns
- 4-10 years of backend software engineering experience in one of the following: Golang, Rust, C/C++, Python, Java, Node.js
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems and public-facing APIs
- Experience in managing and optimizing databases like PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity, enhance performance, and achieve scalability
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong sense of ownership and a passion for driving complex technical decisions
- Ability to move fast and ship software to production with rapid iteration
- Academic background from a top-tier university and/or experience at a well-regarded technology company is a strong plus.

- Experience in building backend systems interacting with blockchains
- Experience designing and developing liquid staking solutions, dexes and/or mev infra in production
- Knowledge of blockchain infrastructure, validator clients and p2p networking
- Deep knowledge of DeFi legos
