The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager – Shared Services role operates with a high degree of autonomy and assumes full accountability for overseeing and administering a wide variety of strategic sourcing endeavors for HR, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Facilities, Bond, Product Management and Sales Enablement Operations, encompassing contract management, project management, supplier management, risk management, and compliance monitoring for an estimated annual expenditure of $50 - $100 million. The role demands exceptional aptitude for collaboration, analysis and negotiation, engaging extensively with departmental leadership, business unit leadership and suppliers. The ideal candidate demonstrates an unwavering commitment to continuous education, staying ahead of the ever-evolving Allied product and service landscape.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Negotiations and Contract Management:

  • Strategically analyze agreement opportunities and lead communication efforts to negotiate agreements with external stakeholders/suppliers, achieving highly advantageous financial terms while balancing user requirements, enhancing experience, and mitigating risks. Proactively educate and strongly influence internal stakeholders to embrace these terms. 
  • Act as the definitive authority in accepting or rejecting proposed terms from suppliers, ensuring that only the most beneficial agreements are executed. 
  • Take responsibility for establishing all contractual controls especially related to onshore/offshore restrictions, regulatory requirements, and client-imposed obligations, diligently monitoring supplier compliance to safeguard Allied's revenues. 
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and develop comprehensive short- and long-term strategies for each category of expenditure, optimizing procurement outcomes. 
  • Proactively identify changes in the business environment that may impact the company's negotiating position, enabling swift and strategic responses. 
  • Conduct thorough risk analyses to identify potential threats to the company and develop robust mitigation plans aimed at minimizing or eliminating exposure. 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Foster and cultivate strong working relationships with department and business unit leadership, ensuring that requirements are effectively incorporated into category and supplier strategies and contracts while showcasing the value of the Strategic Sourcing function. Actively participate in cross-functional teams to execute Risk Management Operations strategies. 
  • Collaborate closely with business unit leadership to develop comprehensive RFP and non-RFP project plans, providing indirect management of communication plans, timelines and assignments to all stakeholders involved. 
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, accounting, or supply chain.
  • 8 + years of work-related experience required.
  • The position necessitates experience in procurement/strategic sourcing, with a preference for candidates who have (1) served as Category Managers, and/or (2) have achieved the CPSM certification from the Institute for Supply Management (or equivalent). Candidates who can showcase tangible achievements as an Analyst may also be considered.
