Job Summary
This position plays a critical role in defining, implementing, and managing the strategic direction of enterprise data assets. Interprets, understands, and solves business problems through an experience data lens. Develops, designs, and refines data capabilities that support multiple users across the enterprise. Leads strategy and execution of data capability, ensuring strong alignment with business objectives. Supports annual business planning, scope, and design of critical data capabilities. Oversees the strategy, development, and integration of data capabilities to ensure optimal business impact and alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborates closely with business leaders and key stakeholders to identify needs, assess impact, and define business value and outcomes.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders on defining data capability strategy and roadmap.
- Works as trusted advisor to business stakeholders, translating complex data relationships and models into business-friendly artifacts .
- Translates business opportunities into data-driven capabilities by partnering with IT/Business leaders to ensure alignment of data strategy with business objectives.
- Adapts data strategy to evolving business, technology, and regulatory landscapes.
- Works with data consultants and business partners to define, scope, and prioritize large, complex data capabilities.
- Facilitates workshops and serves as liaison between business and architecture and data teams to ensure data capabilities meet business requirements.
- Manages and provides current year milestones, investment, and progress of data initiatives reported to the Corporate Performance Office.
- Ensures adherence to best practices and standards for data capabilities.
- Serves as a thought partner and the primary liaison to enterprise business partners during data capability development across assigned business areas.
- Represents the business use cases and value throughout execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and expected timelines
- Manages the rapid delivery and coordination across a distributed execution model for data initiatives.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience; master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in data management and/or technology related work.
- 5+ years of working in a leadership capacity, preferably in insurance, financial services, or a data-related industry.
- Strong experience in partnering with senior business leaders and executive communications skills.
- Experience with data models, modern data tools, and master data management.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to use business intelligence and data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of advanced analytical models and data management practices.
- Ability to mentor and lead others, including cross-functional teams, without line-management authority.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with business leaders.
- Extensive knowledge of data domains and data ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience providing data-driven tools and solutions.
- Experience working with Sales/Marketing and Claims data within the insurance industry preferred.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
$133,700.00 - $200,600.00
