About the Role:
Dragos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize our development infrastructure. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer with deep technical expertise and a passion for automation, scalability, and reliability. You will play a critical role in ensuring our systems run smoothly and securely, supporting the backbone of our engineering operations. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build and Maintain Infrastructure: Develop, deploy, and manage operating system images across diverse environments. 
  • Automate and Optimize: Implement automation for system configurations, patching, and provisioning using modern tools. 
  • Document and Audit: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, inventory, and access controls. 
  • Security and Compliance: Configure, monitor, and audit system access to ensure compliance and security best practices. 
  • Customer Support: Respond to and resolve internal technical issues promptly and professionally. 
  • Collaboration: Crosstrain with team members and provide backup support to ensure operational continuity. 

Qualifications:  

  • Systems Administration: 5+ years managing Linux and Windows environments, including performance tuning and troubleshooting. 
  • Virtualization & Cloud: Extensive experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter, plus exposure to Proxmox, Nutanix, Hyper-V, and KVM; skilled in AWS and Azure deployments. 
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Proficient in Ansible, Terraform, and image creation tools like Packer. 
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Hands-on experience designing and maintaining pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and similar platforms. 
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Strong background with Docker and Kubernetes for building and managing containerized applications. 
  • Networking & Security: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, routing, and identity management (Active Directory, LDAP, Microsoft Entra ID). 
  • Scripting & Monitoring: Advanced scripting in Python, Bash, and PowerShell; exposure to monitoring tools such as Nagios and Icinga. 

Compensation: 

  • Salary: $165,000
