The Senior Principal Product Manager at Dropbox will define and lead the multi-product strategy, focusing on enhancing user engagement across the Dropbox ecosystem. Role Description
We are looking for a passionate Senior Tax Manager to join our team. You will support the tax reporting and compliance processes and assist with our tax accounting and direct tax functions. You'll be joining a fast-paced, dynamic multinational enterprise and will gain experience in a wide range of tax disciplines. Our ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical and enthusiastic, and has strong technical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ASC 740 tax provision and tax accounting processes
- Manage income tax forecasting, including cash tax analysis
- Review federal, state & local tax returns and estimates, ensuring timely payments
- Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and perform flux analyses
- Prepare financial statement disclosures related to income taxes
- Develop and document tax positions
- Drive process efficiencies in the tax return processes, including leveraging automation
- Actively monitor and analyze federal, state and local tax legislation that may impact our operations
- Manage special projects, including purchase accounting & tax policy planning
Requirements
- You have 8+ years of combined corporate tax and public accounting experience
- You're able to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities
- You have a strong understanding of ASC 740
- You're resourceful and have remarkable analytical and problem-solving abilities
- You sweat the details and can drive projects to completion
- You‘re able to engage and collaborate with other teams across Finance and beyond
- You can communicate complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax personnel
- You've got a B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting; C.P.A. strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience modeling tax scenarios
- Project management experience (tracking projects/deadlines/deliverables)
- Tech sector experience preferred; SAAS environment a plus
- Experience with non-income tax matters is a plus
- Intermediate+ level experience with Excel
