What We Need:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our Tech Art team. In this role you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of some of the Art Pipeline Tools. The primary focus with be the Environment pipeline, while ensuring efficiency across the art departments, such as characters, props, environments, animation.

You will grow and develop in many different areas, learning from a highly skilled team while working on cutting-edge technology. We are open to candidates from all industries who have a passion for games.  What You Will Do:
  • Develop Toolset that will bridge data management across software (Maya, PBR Shaders, Substance Painter, Shotgrid, Jira, Perforce), design and implement user-interface
  • Learn our materials pipeline and help expand it across all departments
  • Communicate cross-discipline and provide innovative solutions to pipeline issues, while following guidelines and coding standards
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to production and artists
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of software and systems; drive the development and evolution of standards and conventions, requiring thorough understanding of the overall pipeline
  • Mentor other team members
  • Write and maintain documentation
 Who Will Be A Great Fit:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar position
  • Advanced Python knowledge, using Qt / PySide, and Maya
  • Understanding of game engine limitations
  • Experience researching, piloting, and rolling out new systems for artists
  • Experience with version control system (Perforce)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Love for video games (not just ours!)
 Might Be Nice:
  • General usage and understanding of Havok
  • Understanding of shaders, materials pipeline, texture referencing
  • Experience writing tools for Substance Painter, Photoshop
  • Experience with PyMel

This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States. Below are the expected salary and wage ranges for applicants based in locations where the pay transparency law is in effect: California: $108,900 - $152,500 per year. New York State (inclusive of New York City): $98,100 - $137,300 per year. Washington: $108,900 - $152,500 per year. New Jersey: $98,100 - $137,300 per year. British Columbia: $96,400 - $135,000 (CAD) per year.  Base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
