Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.

More than half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Too often, it’s because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.

We’re a high-growth fintech company changing the retirement industry. We are backed by a number of investors. This includes funding from Marshall Wace and Baillie Gifford, as well as top investors such as BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, Glynn Capital, NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, Uncork, and more.

About the role

As a Senior Technical Recruiter at Human Interest, you will make a significant impact by serving as a trusted advisor and talent consultant to our technical organization. In this full-lifecycle role, you will take complete ownership of high-priority technical segments focused on Software Engineering, Product, and AI Adoption. You will partner directly with engineering leadership to design a world-class candidate experience and a rigorous, calibrated interview process capable of attracting elite engineering talent.

What you get to do every day
  • Strategic Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with hiring managers to define role requirements, build consistent passive candidate pipelines, and facilitate the end-to-end hiring journey from initial outreach to offer acceptance.
  • Recruitment Tooling & AI Innovation: Actively champion modern talent technology by integrating platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse Sourcing Automation, and BrightHire to source elite tech pipelines. Serve as an internal driver for AI adoption, leveraging tools like Claude and Gemini within your daily workflows to optimize efficiency and scale our talent stack as new innovations emerge.
  • Full Life Cycle Recruiting: Take complete ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process within Greenhouse. Manage every phase of the talent funnel—including intake alignment, job postings, strategic sourcing, interview coordination, offer negotiation, background checks, and onboarding transitions—to deliver a seamless and high-touch experience for every candidate.
  • Data & Analytics: Leverage advanced recruitment analytics within Greenhouse to track and report on critical funnel metrics—including Time to Fill, Offer Acceptance Rate, stage-by-stage Passthrough Rates, and Pipeline Velocity—while maintaining impeccable data integrity.
  • Market Intelligence: Leverage robust labor data and available market resources to synthesize macro tech industry trends and execute precise salary analysis, collaborating closely with team members to relay real-time marketplace insights that calibrate our talent strategy.
  • Brand Ambassador: Serve as the primary touchpoint and relationship architect for prospective talent, leveraging compelling storytelling to articulate our technical vision, champion our culture, and inspire exceptional engineering candidates to join our mission.
What you bring to the role
  • 5+ Years of Technical Recruiting Experience: Experience directly sourcing and closing top-tier engineering talent within a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
  • Mission-Driven Enthusiasm: An infectious passion for technology and the Human Interest mission, with a natural ability to translate complex technical roadmaps and abstract product challenges into an exciting, clear pitch for passive candidates.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: A solutions-oriented, proactive mindset with the ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and take intuitive ownership of complex hiring challenges.
  • Multi-Tasking & Remote Autonomy: Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously under tight deadlines while thriving with minimal oversight in a remote-friendly environment.
  • Technical Acumen & Tool Agility: A strong foundational understanding of software development and emerging technologies, paired with a high degree of agility in adopting modern recruiting tech stacks, CRM systems, and AI utilities to maximize output.
  • Relationship Building & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities used to build deep rapport with candidates and act as a strategic partner to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
