About the role

As a Sr. Software Engineer on the QA Automation Tools team, you will drive initiatives that enable our QA and development teams to move faster and with greater confidence. You will be embedded into the development team, collaborating closely on the projects you’ll deliver. You’ll determine the right technologies and architect scalable solutions that contribute to a comprehensive quality coverage strategy and track against key performance metrics. You’ll engage in a regular feedback cycle to ensure we’re building what the team really needs.  You will leverage your expertise to lead other engineers tasked with tackling larger project demands.

What you’ll achieve
  • Develop and integrate quality efforts throughout the development process, including build pipelines, automation frameworks, performance metrics, and other internal tooling.
  • Develop tools and strategies for testing procedurally generated content (PGC).
  • Establish implementation best practices for the team, ensuring code is optimized for performance and scalability across various environments and project demands.
  • Participate in defining the overall Fortis QA advanced test strategy for all projects.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • Experience programming in C# or Python
  • Experience working with QA Automation frameworks
  • Experience testing procedurally generated content (PCG)
  • Knowledge of Unity and Unity tooling specifically for game development 
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, and experience with messaging services.
  • Experience working with CI/CD workflows and platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple teams, identifying project requirements, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Nice to have: Experience working on internal tools or DevOps
