Job Overview

We're looking for a strategic Senior UX Researcher to support our Legal Data Intelligence (LDI) portfolio, including Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Data Breach Response (DBR) and emerging use cases. This role goes beyond traditional UX research; combining product research, market intelligence, and
strategic thinking to guide product direction, de-risk investment decisions, and help the team understand not just what was learned, but what to build next.

Job Description and Requirements

What You'll Do:
Drive product research across LDI experiences.
Plan and execute end-to-end research to inform product decisions across multiple LDI domains. Partner closely with product, design, and engineering to ensure research is embedded throughout the development process, from early discovery through validation.

Conduct market and ecosystem research. Go beyond user interviews. Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer environments to bring broader market context to product positioning and long-term strategy. Because the LDI/Extend space is specialized, you'll need to understand the dynamics shaping it, not just the users within it.

De-risk product investments Identify and validate assumptions early. Provide clear, evidence-based insights that help teams prioritize the right opportunities and avoid costly missteps before resources are committed.

Support diverse and evolving use cases. Contribute research across a range of LDI scenarios. Adapt methods and approaches based on the needs of different workflows, customer segments, and stages of product maturity.

Translate insights into actionable direction. Synthesize findings into recommendations that are clear and actionable, not just reports. When appropriate, help shape solution direction through concepts,
frameworks, or early design prototypes that show the team what to build, not just what was learned.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 5 years of experience with a solid foundation in UX and product research, with the ability to work at both tactical and strategic levels

  • Experience incorporating market research or competitive analysis into product strategy

  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving problem spaces

  • Strong collaboration skills across product, design, and engineering

  • Ability to clearly communicate insights and influence decision-making

  • Proficiency with modern research and design tooling, including AI-assisted workflows (Claude, Claude Code), design tools (Figma), and development-adjacent environments (Cursor)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in legal tech, enterprise SaaS, or complex B2B domains

  • Familiarity with data-intensive workflows or regulatory environments

  • Comfort contributing to early solution framing or design direction
