As a Senior Video and Multimedia Designer (Marketing Brand and Creatives), you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing captivating video and multimedia content that engages our audience and aligns with our brand's vision. This role requires a blend of artistic skill and technical proficiency to deliver high-quality content across multiple platforms.
You will work closely with our design agency, our product marketing and messaging team, and our product design team to translate our brand into various marketing materials. In your role, you will create videos and multimedia elements for Northbeam events, social media, podcasts, sales, case studies, company website vignettes, and instructional videos.
This position reports directly to our Chief Design Officer.
- Content Development: Develop and design multimedia content for a variety of platforms, including websites, social media, digital advertising, and internal presentations.
- Video Production: Manage video projects from concept to final delivery, including planning, shooting raw footage, setting up lighting and sound, and post-production tasks like editing, color correction, and audio mixing.
- Motion Graphics & Animation: Create 2D and 3D animations, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and user engagement.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing specialists, content creators, and other designers to brainstorm ideas, develop storyboards, and ensure cohesive visual content that meets project objectives.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all multimedia content adheres to brand guidelines and aesthetic standards across all media.
- Optimization: Optimize multimedia content for different devices and platforms to ensure functionality and visual quality.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated on the latest design trends, software, and emerging technologies in multimedia design.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in a multimedia design or video production role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Film, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Software Proficiency: High proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for graphic design.
- Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with Unity is a plus.
- Technical Skills: A solid understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography.
- Knowledge of web design principles.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software is a plus (e.g., Blender, Maya).

Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.

Interview Process
The interview process varies by role but typically begins with a 30-minute interview with a Northbeam recruiter, followed by a video interview with the hiring manager. Next, candidates complete a role-specific video interview followed by video or onsite interviews with several team members. The final step is a video interview with our CEO/Co-founder. The entire interview process is usually 5-7 interviews total and requires around 5-8 hours of your time.
