Reviews healthcare service sessions and documentation for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Identifies discrepancies, coordinates corrections with clinical, scheduling, administrative, and billing teams, tracks session statuses, maintains verification records, supports audits, and escalates recurring issues. The role requires fluent written and verbal Mandarin and English, strong attention to detail, accurate data entry, confidentiality, and the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven quality-control work.
The Session Checker is responsible for reviewing and verifying service sessions, documentation, and related records to ensure they are complete, accurate, properly recorded, and aligned with established operational and compliance requirements. This role helps maintain accurate service records and identifies missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information before records are finalized or submitted for further processing.
This position requires fluency in both Mandarin and English to effectively review information and communicate with Mandarin- and English-speaking team members, providers, or clients as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily service sessions and associated documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify that session dates, times, service information, providers, and other required details are properly recorded.
- Check session notes and supporting documentation for missing or inconsistent information.
- Identify documentation errors, discrepancies, or incomplete records and coordinate with appropriate staff for correction.
- Follow established procedures for session verification and documentation review.
- Track pending, completed, rejected, or corrected sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of verification activities and outstanding issues.
- Escalate recurring documentation or compliance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Coordinate with clinical, scheduling, administrative, and billing teams when clarification is required.
- Communicate effectively in Mandarin and English when coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
- Assist with internal audits and quality-control reviews when needed.
- Monitor recurring issues and help identify opportunities to improve documentation accuracy and workflow efficiency.
- Meet daily or weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal, is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2+ years of experience in healthcare administration, medical/clinical documentation, ABA, behavioral health, insurance, billing, or quality assurance preferred.
- Experience reviewing clinical or healthcare documentation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ABA terminology, therapy sessions, or behavioral health documentation is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong data-entry accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
- Comfortable working with repetitive, detail-oriented quality-control tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and standard office productivity tools.
- Ability to handle confidential patient/client information appropriately.
- Comfortable working with deadlines and high-volume records.
