Snowball is looking for a Short-Form Content Creator to build and scale vertical video content for Monarch Money, a modern personal finance platform helping people feel confident and in control of their money.

About Our Client

Since launching in 2021, Monarch has become the top-recommended personal finance app by users and experts. They are on a mission to help everyone build healthier relationships with their money. Their product combines thoughtful design, clarity, and trust to make personal finance feel calmer, more human, and more empowering.

The Opportunity

Monarch is expanding its presence across YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels to reach new audiences and deliver practical financial guidance in quick, engaging formats.

As Short-Form Content Creator, you will develop platform-native vertical video that makes money feel less overwhelming and more actionable. You will own the entire creation process from concept to camera to edit, helping define what Monarch looks and sounds like in short-form spaces.

This role is embedded with Monarch’s Creative team. Snowball serves as Monarch’s YouTube and social creative partner, leading strategy, creative development, and channel growth. Short-form content plays a critical role in Monarch’s growth strategy, driving discovery, trust, and education at scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute short-form video formats aligned with Monarch’s mission, voice, and brand values

  • Own the full content lifecycle including ideation, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing support

  • Translate personal finance concepts into clear, engaging, and relatable vertical video

  • Create high-quality, platform-native content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

  • Experiment with hooks, storytelling styles, and visual approaches to maximize retention and reach

  • Collaborate with Snowball and Monarch’s Brand and Creative teams to ensure accuracy and alignment

  • Work with Snowball to analyze performance data and continuously optimize content strategy

  • Stay current on platform trends, best practices, and evolving short-form formats

What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience creating short-form video content with a strong portfolio

  • Intermediate to advanced video editing skills in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent, with strong instincts for pacing, structure, and visual style

  • Ability to produce polished content with efficient turnaround times in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong videography skills including camera operation, lighting, framing, and audio capture, with experience shooting varied and dynamic footage

  • Ability to independently film high-quality content, whether using professional equipment or mobile setups

  • Proven ability to simplify complex topics into clear, engaging, and relatable content

  • Strong on-camera presence or the ability to direct talent effectively

  • Self-starter comfortable owning production independently in a remote environment

  • Strong collaborator with experience working across brand, creative, or marketing teams

  • Strong interest in personal finance, consumer apps, or educational content, and a genuine passion for learning

Bonus
  • Experience in fintech, personal finance, or edutainment content

  • Existing audience or personal content channel

  • Motion graphics or design skills
