Position Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, material flow, and on-site logistics across Vanderlande projects.

This role partners closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Site Leads, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other project stakeholders to ensure materials are received, tracked, staged, and delivered according to project schedules. The Logistics Manager also leads warehouse staff, maintains safe and compliant facilities, and implements efficient processes that support installation productivity and minimize project delays.

Overview
  • Oversee warehouse setup, daily operations, inventory control, material tracking, and physical security across project sites.
  • Lead warehouse staffing, training, performance, and safety while maintaining efficient, organized, and code-compliant facilities.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, staging, prefabrication areas, and installation requirements in alignment with project schedules and look-ahead plans.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse documentation, inventory reports, safety records, and project updates using company systems and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations and Inventory Management: Establish warehouse locations, layouts, racking, barcode systems, and scanning processes. Receive, store, transfer, and track materials while reconciling physical inventory with digital records. Maintain shared project inventory reports with no more than a 36-hour delay in entering or updating material information, and conduct biweekly self-audits to verify accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Project Logistics and Coordination: Develop logistics plans using established templates and align warehouse locations, budgets, tooling, equipment, and purchases with the Project Manager and Construction Manager. Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, VIM, NADC, and site teams to confirm shipment dates, material availability, delivery notifications, staging requirements, and installation look-ahead needs. Support prefabrication areas and processes to improve installation efficiency and prevent delays.
  • Team Leadership and Safety Compliance: Hire, supervise, and train warehouse associates in partnership with the Construction Manager and Site Lead, using internal resources or staffing agencies as needed. Set weekly team goals, monitor attendance and performance, resolve operational issues, and ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment. Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and company safety requirements, and submit monthly warehouse safety reports through Velocity.
  • Reporting, Communication, and Continuous Improvement: Use Hubble reports, Excel, Smartsheet, Procore, Omnitracker, and other designated systems to maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, inventory, deliveries, and project issues. Communicate proactively with project stakeholders, provide transparent updates on warehouse needs and material status, maintain secure digital logs, and conduct site walkthroughs with Site Management team members at least twice per week.

Qualifications / Requirements
Required
  • Demonstrated warehouse, logistics, inventory management, or material-handling experience, preferably within construction, installation, or project-based environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to set goals, manage conflict, and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with the ability to maintain inventory records, interpret reports, and use digital tracking or inventory management systems.
  • Forklift certification and OSHA 30 certification, with the ability to maintain a safe warehouse environment and meet the physical demands of walking, standing, and working around warehouse equipment.

Preferred
  • Experience with Hubble, Smartsheet, Procore, Velocity, Omnitracker, barcode scanning systems, and warehouse inventory reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of warehouse layout planning, racking systems, material staging, prefabrication areas, and construction-site logistics.
  • Experience coordinating material deliveries, inventory, and installation schedules with Supply Chain, Procurement, Construction Managers, and site teams.
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment, motors, conveyor systems, or baggage-handling systems; knowledge of Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and concatenation is a plus.

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary with eligibility to participate in an annual performance bonus program.
  • Opportunities to contribute to complex automation and material-handling projects.
  • A collaborative work environment that values safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within a global organization.

Compensation

Salary Range: $103,500–$115,000 annually.

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The posted salary range represents the minimum and maximum starting base pay at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate-dependent.

Additional Requirements
  • Regularly walk the project site with Site Management team members at least twice per week.
  • Perform physical activities associated with warehouse operations, including extended periods of walking or standing.
  • Support warehouse operations and material management activities across applicable APS projects.
