The Site Reliability Engineer will enhance system reliability, manage cloud infrastructure, automate processes, support CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot production issues.
Daxko builds the software that powers fitness, wellness, and community organizations—everything from member management and payments to digital engagement and analytics. From small studios to the largest associations, we help thousands of fitness businesses streamline operations, enhance member experiences, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
At Daxko, we build technology that helps communities thrive. Behind every great product experience is a foundation that’s fast, reliable, and built to scale — and that’s where our Site Reliability Engineers come in.
We’re looking for an engineer who enjoys solving problems at the root, not just patching symptoms. Someone who’s energized by automation, thoughtful system design, and making things work better every day. If you’re curious, collaborative, and motivated to build systems that teams and customers can trust, you’ll feel right at home here.
You’ll play a key role on our TechOps team, partnering closely with product and engineering teams to strengthen the systems and tools that power our products.
In this role, you will:
- Build, maintain, and improve our cloud infrastructure across AWS and VMware
- Design and implement automation that makes our systems more scalable, reliable, and efficient
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, consistent delivery
- Troubleshoot production issues and work alongside developers to resolve root causes
- Contribute to the evolution of our engineering tools, systems, and security practices
- Monitor system performance and reliability, participating in an on-call rotation
- Test and validate systems for availability, performance, and business continuity
- Maintain clear documentation for system design and troubleshooting
- Help keep our disaster recovery plans current, tested, and ready when needed
You’re someone who enjoys digging into complex systems and finding smarter ways to build and run them. You’re comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and collaborating across teams.
Required experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and/or VMware
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and automation frameworks
- Working knowledge of Git-based version control (Git, GitLab)
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Chef, or Ansible
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice to have:
- Experience managing Linux and Windows environments
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like LogicMonitor, New Relic, or similar
- Understanding of core internet technologies (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, CDNs)
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Experience working with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Participation in a shared on-call rotation supporting 24/7 system reliability
- A primarily remote, desk-based role with minimal travel (<5%)
