As an intern, you will contribute to software development initiatives that enable automation, monitoring, and lifecycle management of network services in cloud-based environments. What you will do:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) software solutions.
- Contribute to backend and/or automation development supporting network service orchestration and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with software engineers to develop and improve scalable applications and services.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting software issues.
- Help develop automation scripts and tools to improve testing and deployment processes.
- Work with modern development practices including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
- Document technical designs, development tasks, and testing outcomes..
You will bring:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, or Master's on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Experience programming in one or more languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Basic understanding of software development principles and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Interest in cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to container technologies such as Docker or orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
