Who You Are:

We’re looking for a specialist Social Content Creator Independent Contractor. This assignment engages a Social Content Creator to develop standalone, campaign-based social content deliverables. The contractor will independently concept, produce, and deliver social-first video assets that align with Munchkin’s brand guidelines. You’ll have the opportunity to bring Munchkin’s brand to life through compelling, platform-native content. This Social Content Creator will turn ideas into finished content, from concept through capture and edit. You’ll create work that feels native to social, connects with modern parents, and drives engagement across channels. 

What You Will Do|Deliverables:

  • Concept, shoot, and edit social-first content using primarily iPhone and lightweight setups  
  • Create platform-native videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and emerging channels  
  • Produce a mix of product, lifestyle, parenting, and cultural content that feels real and relatable  
  • Collaborate with brand, social, and growth teams to align on campaigns and content priorities  
  • Appear on camera or direct talent/creators when needed  
  • Iterate quickly based project deliverables and platform trends  
  • Stay on top of trends, formats, and conversations within parenting and social culture  
  • Deliverables should be consistent with brand voice while keeping content fresh and native to each platform  
  • There is no responsibility for ongoing social media management, channel operations, or community engagement, which remain internal functions

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience creating short-form social content, ideally for consumer or parenting brands  
  • Strong instincts for hooks, storytelling, pacing, and what makes content convert  
  • Ability to shoot high-quality, engaging content in real-world environments  
  • Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form platform behavior  
  • Comfortable both behind and in front of the camera  
  • Proficiency with editing tools like CapCut, Edits, or similar  
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple content streams at once  
  • A test-and-learn mindset with a bias toward action and iteration
  • Remote based in Los Angeles area preferred 
  • Occasional in-person shoots or Van Nuys office meetings

Hourly Rate:       $35-$45/hour, DOE
