What is Fizz

Fizz is America’s biggest college social app, allowing Gen Z to connect around their shared experiences and identities. College Fizz communities feature a private, moderated feed of posts from verified students, making it the most entertaining and authentic way to experience student life. Our newest product, Global Fizz, brings together all of Gen Z nationwide, providing a space to satisfy the 99% of life not on entertainment platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Fizz is on a mission to bring social back to social media.

What we’ve done

We first launched Fizz at Stanford in July 2021 and have since seen >95% of undergraduates join the app, half of which use Fizz every day. Since raising a $25M Series B in July 2023, we have established ourselves as the dominant community platform at 700+ colleges, have begun to generate revenue through advertising, and are actively expanding to communities beyond college.

About the Role

We have several openings for Social Media Interns on our Growth team. In this role, you’ll manage multiple Fizz-branded Instagram accounts, with real ownership over content, posting cadence, and day-to-day growth.

This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys social media, understands internet culture, and wants hands-on experience running accounts—not just observing. You’ll work closely with our Growth team while being trusted to make creative decisions that align with both the Fizz brand and current trends.

This is an hourly, paid, remote internship requiring 15 to 20 hours per week.

  • Manage multiple Fizz-branded Instagram accounts

  • Source, curate, and create content aligned with Fizz’s brand and current internet trends

  • Build and maintain a posting calendar to ensure consistent cadence across all assigned accounts

  • Take ownership of content decisions, including identifying trends that fit each page and its audience

  • Monitor account performance and adjust content strategy as needed

  • Collaborate with Growth members to support broader growth initiatives

  • Attend team meetings and 1:1s, providing regular updates on progress and account performance

Qualifications

  • Current college student (18+) with familiarity with the Fizz product

  • Strong understanding of Instagram and social media best practices

  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

  • Strong written communication and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet posting expectations

  • Available to work 15 - 20 hours per week, with hours distributed consistently

This is a remote internship (up to 15 hours per week) starting with a one-month commitment and potential for extension. The compensation range is $14-20 per hour, depending on location. This role is open to candidates located in the following states: FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OK, OR, PA, RI, TN, TX, VA, DC, and WI.
