About XBOW:

Build the future of offensive security with XBOW. Attackers are already using AI to move faster than defenders can react—we’re creating the platform that puts security ahead in the arms race. Our AI-powered system autonomously discovers, validates, and even exploits vulnerabilities, giving organizations proof-backed results in hours instead of weeks.

Founded by Oege de Moor, creator of GitHub Copilot, and backed by Sequoia, Altimeter, and other leading investors, XBOW is applying cutting-edge AI to one of the world’s most urgent problems. In just over a year, our AI—built by a world-class AI team and legendary security researchers—has uncovered thousands of real-world zero-days across the software billions rely on and achieved the #1 ranking on HackerOne’s global leaderboard.

We’re a team of builders, hackers, and researchers who thrive on solving problems others think are impossible. If you want to push the boundaries of AI, reshape how security is done, and join the group defining this new era of defense — we’d love to talk.

Your Role:

XBOW is looking for a Social Media Senior Manager to build social into the company’s most dynamic storytelling surface, and one of the clearest expressions of who we are: a team of builders, hackers, and researchers changing how security works.

This is not a traditional social role focused on posting and performance marketing mechanics. It’s a narrative leadership role. You will shape how XBOW shows up in the world, how our breakthroughs are understood, and how we consistently earn attention in a crowded, skeptical market.

You’ll work closely with AR/PR, Paid, Creative, and leadership, and you’ll help unlock the talent already inside the company, turning internal brilliance into external momentum. This role will also come with the mandate to experiment, challenge default assumptions, and drive organizational change from within.

What You’ll Do:

Narrative & Storytelling Leadership

  • Define and evolve XBOW’s social narrative: what we stand for, what we’re building, and why it matters now.

  • Develop social storytelling frameworks that translate complex research and product wins into narratives people remember and repeat.

  • Create the connective tissue between XBOW’s product, research, and cultural presence, ensuring everything we publish reinforces a coherent point of view.

  • Build an unmistakable voice: credible, sharp, human, and occasionally dangerous (in the fun way).

  • Personally create and ship high-performing content across formats: posts, threads, visuals, short-form video concepts, and platform-native series.

  • Partner with Creative to set quality and taste standards for social that scale without becoming generic.

  • Build repeatable content systems (formats, series, templates, rhythms) that compound attention over time.

  • Balance long-term brand storytelling with fast-turn moments, shipping at high velocity without losing craft.

Amplifying XBOW’s Internal Talent

  • Work closely with leaders, researchers, and engineers to help them develop their own voices and build public presence.

  • Identify the most interesting internal stories, personalities, and insights and turn them into recurring content and outward-facing formats.

  • Create “social enablement” systems: ghostwriting workflows, content capture sessions, and lightweight production pipelines that make it easy for busy talent to show up consistently.

  • Build a culture where social isn’t a marketing output, but a company-wide muscle and competitive advantage.

Experimentation & Organizational Change

  • Run constant experimentation across content formats, channel strategy, storytelling angles, and distribution loops.

  • Use social as a lab for new positioning, messaging, and narrative direction, then feed learnings back into Product Marketing, PR, Creative, and leadership.

  • Push XBOW to be bolder, clearer, and more culturally fluent, raising the bar for how the company communicates.

  • Create new processes that improve speed, quality, and alignment across teams (without turning everything into a meeting).

Cross-Functional Campaigns & Launches

  • Partner closely with AR/PR to shape and amplify news moments, research releases, and narrative arcs.

  • Collaborate with Paid to turn organic content into scalable creative inputs and develop testing systems across channels.

  • Support product launches and major announcements with social-first storytelling that drives attention, conversation, and relevance.

  • Work with marketing and leadership to ensure social is a core ingredient in XBOW’s go-to-market motion, not an afterthought.

Who You Are:
  • 6–10+ years of experience in social media, brand storytelling, or editorial roles, ideally at high-growth startups or iconic brands.

  • Exceptional storytelling instincts and writing ability, with a strong sense of voice, timing, and narrative cohesion.

  • Strong creative taste across copy, visuals, and platform-native formats. You know what “good” looks like, and you can ship it.

  • Experience building distinctive brand presence, not just growing accounts.

  • Comfort collaborating with technical teams and turning complex topics into compelling stories without losing credibility.

  • Ability to operate independently, move quickly, and drive clarity in ambiguous environments.

  • Strong strategic and systems thinking: you can build repeatable engines, not just one-off posts.

Bonus if you have
  • Experience in cybersecurity, developer tools, or other technical industries with skeptical audiences.

  • Experience partnering closely with PR/Comms teams on narrative strategy and launches.

  • Experience working with executives or technical leaders to build thought leadership and public voice.

  • Experience with lightweight production workflows (short-form video, motion, creator-style content pipelines).

What We Offer:
  • Compensation & Equity: Competitive salary, clear performance-based incentives, and equity package, making you an integral part of XBOW’s growth story.

  • Career Growth: Significant opportunities to progress within the sales organization and shape your career trajectory as we scale.

  • Meaningful Work: You’ll directly impact XBOW’s mission to revolutionize cybersecurity and protect organizations worldwide.
