About Tekmetric

Tekmetric is the all-in-one, cloud-based platform helping auto repair shops run smarter, grow faster, and serve customers better.
Built by a shop owner and shaped by the needs of the industry, Tekmetric brings together innovation, real-world experience, and a thriving community to help shops thrive - not just survive. From running a shop, to securing payments to engaging customers, our platform simplifies operations so shop owners can focus on what really matters: delivering exceptional service, earning trust, and growing sustainably.

Officially founded in Houston in 2017, Tekmetric has grown from a single shop’s vision to the industry’s leading solution - all by staying true to our values of transparency, integrity, innovation, and a service-first mindset.
But we’re not just building software. We’re building a movement. We’re empowering repair shops to rise above the daily grind, create meaningful connections with their customers, and lead the industry forward - one interaction at a time.

Come build with us. Join the journey. Shape the future of auto repair.

Working the Tekmetric Way

At Tekmetric, we’re building a culture where winning matters - not for ego, but because when our customers win, we win together.

We move fast, stay curious, and take full ownership of our results — no excuses, no finger-pointing. If you thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and view honest feedback as fuel for growth, you’ll feel right at home here.

We’re direct but respectful, ambitious yet grounded, and collaborative at every level. Everyone leads through impact and is encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and challenge assumptions (even your manager’s). This is a place for builders, not bystanders.

Success here takes focus, follow-through, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves — but if you’re driven by meaningful work and real results, it’s deeply rewarding. You’ll join a team that cares about the work, supports one another, and takes smart risks to achieve bold goals. Be yourself, stay mission-focused, and you’ll thrive. If that energizes you, we can’t wait to meet you.

At Tekmetric, great work happens anywhere, but great teams are built through intentional connection. We offer hybrid and remote work models based on your proximity to our office hubs. Because we value in-person collaboration, travel is an expected part of every role. We come together several times a year for team and company-wide offsites to align on goals and strengthen relationships. Attendance at these events is expected and fully supported.

The Opportunity

Tekmetric has built a following across Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Instagram - 25K followers and counting, but we’re ready to go further. We have an engaged customer community, authentic stories to tell, and the budget to invest. We’re looking for a social media leader who can take us from reactive to programmatic, and from presence to influence.

This role owns a dedicated annual budget and partners across Brand, Demand Gen, Events, and Customer Advocacy to make social a meaningful driver of awareness, trust, and demand.

What You’ll Do

As Social Media Manager, you’ll own the channel  end-to-end: strategy, programs, and hands-on execution. This is a high-impact role for someone who treats social as a growth channel, not a posting function, and knows how to build programming that actually resonates with a real-world, non-desk audience.

You’ll be responsible for taking Tekmetric from reactive social to a proactive, programmatic engine. That means building repeatable formats, creating content that auto repair shop owners actually care about, and turning social into a meaningful driver of awareness, engagement, and demand.

Own the Strategy (and Actually Execute It)

  • Define where we show up, how we show up, and why it matters. Build a channel roadmap aligned to brand priorities, product moments, events, and community storytelling — then ship consistently without waiting for direction.
  • Set platform priorities based on where our audience lives: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and emerging channels where shop owners and technicians spend time.
  • Own performance metrics, track engagement and growth, and continuously refine content and programs based on what actually resonates.

Build Repeatable Programs, Not One-Off Posts

  • Create series-based content, recurring formats, and scalable initiatives that drive ongoing engagement and audience growth.
  • Build systems that make social predictable and programmatic, not reactive.
  • Operate like the GM of the social channel: identify opportunities, propose ideas, manage your roadmap, and own initiatives from concept through execution and measurement.

Create Content for a Real-World Audience

  • Develop personality-driven content designed for shop owners, service advisors, and technicians — people who work with their hands, not at desks.
  • Lead video-forward content strategy (Reels, YouTube Shorts, long-form YouTube) to meet our audience where they engage most.
  • Focus on usefulness, relatability, and authenticity over polished “B2B” content that doesn’t resonate with tradespeople.

Build Around Community and Customer Voices

  • Partner with shop owners, industry leaders, and internal SMEs to spotlight stories, perspectives, and moments that make Tekmetric feel connected to the industry.
  • Leverage and grow community channels (including Facebook Groups and YouTube communities) as part of the broader social strategy.
  • Work closely with Customer Advocacy to surface real customer stories, wins, and voices.

Develop and Protect the Tekmetric Voice

  • Create and enforce voice, tone, and writing guidelines that define how Tekmetric shows up across every channel.
  • Be the quality bar across content touchpoints, ensuring consistency whether it’s a post, a comment, or a campaign.

Make Distribution Real, Not an Afterthought

  • Work closely with Content, Design, and Video to translate ideas into channel-native formats.
  • Ensure campaigns are built with social in mind from the start, not bolted on at the end.
  • Partner with Demand Gen on paid social to ensure organic and paid strategies complement each other.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5-8 years of experience in social media marketing, with a track record of owning both strategy and execution
  • Demonstrated experience marketing to trade, field-based, or blue-collar audiences
  • Experience building social programs and repeatable content systems, not just managing calendars
  • Strong command of video-forward content: Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and long-form YouTube
  • Experience with community-driven social channels (Facebook Groups, YouTube communities)
  • Strong instincts for short-form, personality-driven, platform-native content
  • Proven ability to operate independently, proactively, and without prescriptive direction
  • Experience managing and deploying a dedicated social media budget
  • Comfort analyzing performance data and adjusting strategy based on what actually works
  • Strong writing and content instincts — you can write in a voice that doesn’t sound like marketing copy
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally across brand, content, demand gen, and creative teams

Industry-adjacent experience (trades, home services, fleet, construction, or similar) is a strong plus.

You’re Right for This Role If…

  • You’ve marketed to non-traditional, human audiences  and know that authenticity beats polish every time
  • You think like a channel owner, not a content manager — you connect social to brand, community, and business outcomes
  • You build systems and programs, not just posts — you hate reactive social as much as we do
  • You’re equally comfortable setting strategy on Monday and shooting a video on Thursday
  • You can walk into a room of shop owners, understand what they care about, and translate that into content that resonates
  • You own your channel like a GM: roadmap, budget, measurement, and outcomes
