The role involves creating video content for social media related to drone technology, including production and travel to capture on-site footage. Candidates are expected to manage the full video production cycle and collaborate with various teams.
We are seeking a creative and high-energy Social Media Video Content Marketer to join our team. This role will report to the Head of Sales and work closely with Product, Sales, Field Operations, and Customer Success teams. You’ll focus on producing compelling video content around DroneSense’s public-safety drones — including device demos, unboxings, field tests, customer and partner interviews, sit-downs with employees, and more. The role involves substantial travel (up to ~80%) to capture content on-site with our customers, agency partners, and internal teams.
Who will love this job
- A storyteller who thrives on visual content and wants to showcase real-world public-safety impact.
- A self-starter who enjoys traveling, working independently in the field, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders (customers, partners, internal teams).
- A marketer with strong creative instincts, comfortable with video production, editing, and social media dynamics.
- Someone passionate about public safety, drones, and emerging technology, and motivated by purpose-driven missions.
What will I be doing?
- Develop and lead a full-cycle video content strategy for social media channels (YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) tailored to public-safety audiences.
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content — device unboxings, drone demos, field operations, training sessions, real-world deployments, customer success stories, and partner collaborations.
- Conduct on-camera interviews with customers, agency partners, internal team members, and other stakeholders to gather compelling stories and testimonials.
- Coordinate with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Field Ops to identify compelling video opportunities and logistics for travel/shoots.
- Manage all aspects of video production: pre-production planning, scheduling, location scouting, shooting, editing, post-production, and delivery across social and other channels.
- Ensure that all content aligns with brand guidelines, messaging, compliance, and privacy expectations relevant to public-safety operations.
- Track and report on content performance (views, engagement, conversions) and iterate on strategy to maximize reach and impact.
- Maintain and organize a content library of raw and edited footage, ensuring easy retrieval and future reuse.
Would I be a good candidate for this job?
- 3+ years of experience in video production/video content marketing, preferably for B2B technology, hardware, or public-safety / government-facing services.
- Strong proficiency with video production tools (camera operation, lighting, audio) and editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Experience producing content for social media — understanding of different platforms’ video requirements, best practices, and audience expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to conduct interviews and build rapport with customers, partners, and colleagues.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to ~80%), often to customer or agency sites, sometimes at short notice.
- Ability to work independently and manage all phases of content production under tight deadlines.
Bonus points if you have:
- Familiarity with drone technology, public-safety agencies, or UAV workflows.
- Experience working with regulated industries or environments that require sensitivity to privacy, compliance, or security considerations.
- Skills in motion graphics, sound design, or animated video production.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and SEO/SEM for video content.
- Flexibility to contribute to broader marketing efforts as needed (e.g., blog posts, collateral, webinars).
