The Soft Goods Brand Associate will report to Sr Manager, Product Category Marketing in Austin, Texas and will lead the vision and execution of marketing initiatives for our Soft Goods portfolio, driving category growth and market leadership in the soft coolers and bags sector. The Soft Goods category currently includes soft coolers, bags, luggage, and apparel. It is the third pillar of the YETI product portfolio with aggressive growth plans for the brand.

This role will aid in the development of comprehensive go-to-market strategies to bring new products to life, fuel our innovation stories, and create lasting consumer connections that continue to drive product discovery in a growing category for YETI.

Qualified candidates are detail-oriented and can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Ideal candidates will be passionate, detail-oriented, and a critical right-hand to the Sr Manager, Category Marketing. This role will help bring category visions to life through cross-functional collaboration, creative thinking, and precise execution. They will excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where no two days are the same. This individual will be a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and wears many hats with ease. They will have a sharp eye for brand details and feel equally at home analyzing data and campaign metrics as they do in aiding in creative concepts. Positive energy, curiosity, and a roll-up-your sleeves attitude will be necessary to help drive this business forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sr Manager, Category Marketing in the development and implementation of comprehensive category marketing strategies for the soft goods product line that are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Category teams and Sr. Manager, Category Marketing in defining product positioning, crafting compelling messaging, and articulating the value proposition to differentiate our soft goods offerings in the marketplace.
  • Manage launch timelines, track progress, and ensure campaign deliverables meet deadlines.
  • Keep an eye on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive offerings to provide valuable insights for brand positioning and strategic decision-making.
  • Author the briefs and other documentation that articulate strategies and set plans in motion to ensure alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Support the creation of integrated marketing campaigns with internal teams and external agency partners to ensure accuracy of messaging and assets to promote new product launches.
  • Assist in training internal teams and key customers on new product features and launches.
  • Partner with creative, brand communications, and community teams to assure timely order and delivery of new product samples.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline category marketing processes and improve team efficiency.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of work experience in product marketing, brand management, or a related role.
  • Strong interest in consumer products or soft goods.
  • Understanding or strong interest in textiles and insulated materials preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for high-quality products and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on execution and deadlines.
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm, a touch of grit and assuredly, good taste
