We are seeking a Software Development Engineer III to join our team of experienced software developers. The Amex GBT Egencia Search team builds features and tools to empower our travelers to search all the product offerings and the ability to book their complete trip. The team's responsibilities span web development and backend micro-services using multiple languages and frameworks including Java, React, Spring and Kotlin.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Contribute to refining business requirements.
  • Help design, build, and maintain high-quality product.
  • Write unit, automation, and integration tests to ensure the quality of your product.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization and regions.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Seek new skills to improve your work and organizational practices.
  • Enthusiastically look for ways to make our customers' experiences better.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's / Master’s in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • 5+ years of developing and delivering highly available enterprise web applications in Java development environment a must.
  • Strong experience in front-end web technologies including JavaScript, Node or React.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strong communication skills.
  • Experience supporting the infrastructure and deployment pipelines of applications.
  • Experience applying engineering principles to improve existing systems including leading complex, well-defined projects.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex information in a concise format.

The US national base salary range for this position is from 

$109,200.00 - $202,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
