Join our Networks SQA team!

Our Networks Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team ensures our global platform's reliability by testing all routing and switching hardware and software used. We build automation infrastructure for qualification testing and collaborate with Networks Engineering teams to validate network topologies. Using our expertise in Internet routing protocols, we maintain consistent availability and peak performance for Akamai's customers worldwide.

Partner with the best

You will be tasked with solving critical software automation and verification problems in a multi-vendor routing and switching environment. Working with Network Engineering and the Network Architecture teams you will become an expert in Internet scale testing of routing protocols and their implementation.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to system test plans to ensure highly effective test coverage & automation
  • Creating and deploying automated system tests to replicate real world scenarios
  • Improving testing methodologies and procedures to enhance test automation efficiency
  • Reviewing product & system design requirements to verify accuracy of test plans and test cases

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Demonstrate experience in developing test automation in Python and Full Stack development
  • Have experience in managing and troubleshooting Juniper or Cisco routers and switches
  • Demonstrate hands-on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) experience
  • Display experience in IP network design and routing architectures
  • Enjoy working as a team, collaborating and solving problems with others

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 - $171,000/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
