We are seeking a systems-oriented Software Engineer, Backend engineer to join our team!

Some of the things you will work on and impact:

  • own end-to-end delivery of essential, core functionality for Rescale customers as well as rapidly iterating on new product ideas.

  • work with your teammates to build and maintain high quality automation for building and testing our main customer-facing platform.

  • develop and maintain critical areas of the product including identity management, elastic cloud workstations, and workflow automation.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience building and operating performant, non-trivial backend systems in production.

  • Expertise or strong interest in the following areas: web performance optimization (including ORM and DB profiling), deploying and scaling web applications using cloud services, application security

  • High enthusiasm for supporting both rapid proof-of-concept prototypes as well as robust, mission critical components for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, strong user-first mindset, and ability to come up with non-regrettable technical solutions.

  • Flexibility and dedication to work in a team and ship exceptional software.

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
