WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Architect low-latency, high-throughput systems for live phone calls and bidirectional audio streaming
- Build backend orchestration (Node.js / TypeScript; Python or Go as needed) integrating STT, TTS, LLMs, and telephony providers
- Work hands-on with Web
- Sockets, WebRTC, streaming audio pipelines, and real-time event processing
- Contribute to the agent builder dashboard and developer tools (React / Next.js)
- Integrate with Twilio, SIP trunks, VoIP, IVRs, DTMF, call transfers, and compliance edge cases
- Drive improvements in reliability, observability, failover, monitoring, and alerting
- Enforce security and compliance best practices across the stack
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years building production-grade systems
- Deep expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript and Node.js
- Hands-on with WebSockets, WebRTC, and streaming audio/video
- Strong fundamentals in networking, latency optimization, and system design
- Comfortable owning both backend and frontend
- Startup mindset: high ownership, execution-focused, low politics
- Ivy League / Stanford / MIT preferred
TECH STACK
