Requirements

Engineering at Dispel is a technical and social experience. In our team, every person participates in solving problems and improving code/infrastructure. This is a journey, and we want it to be rewarding and fun.

You will have the opportunity to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality solutions. We strive to maintain a professional and creative work environment where your contributions will be valued and recognized.

Responsibilities Execution (Primary Focus)
  • Solve smaller features and bugs.
  • Can handle being given exact instructions.
Enabling Others (Secondary Focus)
  • Following existing practices to make sure work is tracked and communicated from inception until it is deployed on production.
Qualifications
  • Either have finished a technical education or have similar skill as a new grad from alternative sources of experience and knowledge.
  • Fast learner. Degrees and certificates aren’t a determining factor for us. Rather, we value your ability to care about your work and learn fast.
  • Communication and team culture are very important at Dispel. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where new ideas and contributions are encouraged. These criteria are soft, but just relax and be genuine.
  • Comfortable in one or more of: Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, Go, Rust.
Bonus Points
  • Comfortable with SQL.
  • Unit (Jest/Vitest) testing.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This is a career growth opportunity and an FLSA-exempt role. The position will require working more than 40 hours per week at times to meet business needs.
