What you'll be working on:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer II to join our HomePay Technology team. You will work as part of a small, agile team responsible for building our HomePay experience. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of new product features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to drive projects forward.
  • Contribute to the development process to ensure high-quality output while maintaining an iterative approach.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring accuracy, performance, and overall quality of the work.
  • Assist in creating architecture and design documents, project timelines, and user stories.
  • Work effectively in a distributed development environment.
  • Continuously learn and develop technical skills while supporting team members’ growth.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 3-5 years of professional engineering experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience using Java and J2EE technologies
  • 1+ years Golang experience preferred
  • Experience with both Monolith and Microservices architecture preferred
  • AWS experience
  • Ability to thrive as part of a multi-site development team

Salary Range:  $112,000 - $140,000 The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
