As a Software Engineer II, you will work with a diverse group of cross-functional teams to optimize and enhance IT service delivery processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement using ServiceNow capabilities. The role involves staying current with ServiceNow trends, best practices, and new features, and translating business requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and enhancing ITSM processes including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, Service Catalog.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts, integrations, and APIs to extend ServiceNow's functionality and integrate with other systems.
  • Creating and maintaining workflows, business rules, UI policies, detailed technical and specifications and documentation.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement and automation using ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Presenting status updates to key stakeholders while participating in software design and project planning and monitoring its performance in production

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or it's equivalent.
  • Have an active Security Clearance.
  • Have ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in various modules.
  • Have good understanding of ITIL processes, IT service management concepts, and experience with the ServiceNow Customer Service Management module.
  • Possess experience in ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript, etc.), and integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
  • Be a good team player that enjoys collaborating and solving problems with others.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $83,800 - $174,200/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
