We are actively searching for a Software Engineer Intern to join our Lead Allocation and Delivery team. As a software engineer intern, you will receive hands-on experience working on one of the most critical platforms of http://realtor.com . You will contribute to our lead allocation and delivery platform using technologies such as Python, GraphQL and Kafka. You will also have the opportunity to work and receive mentorship from top engineers, gaining essential knowledge on how to design scalable and high-performance software.

Your efforts will directly influence the lives of the millions of people who use http://realtor.com on a day-to-day basis, in search of their new home. Interns who do very well will also be asked to apply for full-time positions following the completion of their internship.

This role will have a hybrid work model, and you will need to be within commutable distance from our Austin office location.

What You’ll Do
  • Work within a fast-paced agile team, producing high-quality software, at scale
  • Own, develop, test and release new features on business-critical systems
  • Improve coding abilities by being introduced to new tools and programming languages
  • Gain practical experience using computer science knowledge in a professional setting
  • Improve presenting and communication abilities (both oral and written)
  • Create documentation for and test new software applications
What You’ll Bring
  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Network Engineering, Engineering, or Mathematics (grad date of December 2026 and June 2027)
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Programming experience in Python, NodeJS or Java
  • Knowledge of core computer science concepts such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
