About the Role: We're looking for a Software Engineer to help build our international platform for business events and conferences. The platform includes an attendee registration form builder and an API powering a mobile app for event schedules, networking, and tickets.

Our backend consists of docker services behind a shared API gateway. Each service is a modular monolith using DDD, CQRS, Vertical Slices, and Onion Architecture. Our frontend services are built with Vue 3.

  • Vue 3, Vite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design new services, and support the existing ones.
  • Build markup, develop widgets and UI.
  • Cover changes with unit/functional tests.
  • Design Doctrine entities, optimize MySQL.
  • Integrate with third-party services.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements
  • Experience developing and maintaining PHP/Symfony applications in production.
  • Experience structuring applications into modules with clear responsibilities and dependencies. Familiarity with DDD.
  • Experience building REST APIs and integrating services.
  • Experience in Vue 3, including layout, UI behaviour, and API integration.
  • Experience with MySQL and Doctrine: designing entities and their relationships, reading query execution plans, and optimising slow queries.
  • Testing as part of your normal workflow, and comfort in a codebase where static analysis, architectural rules, and code style are enforced in CI.
  • Habit of documenting what you build so that the next person can pick it up.
  • Ability to read/write technical documentation and tickets in English.
