Renesas Electronics America is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our Infrastructure Power team in Austin, TX, where we develop the most advanced digital power ICs for AI data centers. The ideal candidate should have people management skills, technical leadership, and excel at cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality software supporting silicon design throughout the product life cycle, from concept to delivery.

Job Description

  •  Lead and mentor a team of talented Software Engineers, supporting their execution, growth, and career development
  • Define and own the software roadmap aligned with silicon and product milestones
  • Collaborate across design, firmware, verification, validation, GUI, and product teams to gather requirements and align priorities
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute hands-on when needed to offload the team
  •  Apply software best practices to improve silicon design and validation workflows, enabling the organization to scale
  • Drive execution, resource planning, and prioritization in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Remove blockers, improve processes, and champion the team across the organization
  • Develop and oversee software test plans including unit testing and functional testing in pre-silicon environment

Qualifications

  • 10 years of software engineering work experience, including 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • ·BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Proficient programming skills in C/C++, Python, Java/Kotlin, SQL
  • Solid understanding of software systems and development practices using CI/CD
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing software to assist with silicon design environment and workflow
  • Experience with firmware development on ARM based MCU
  • Experience setting up and debugging simulations using Cadence/Synopsys toolchains
  • Familiarity with DC-DC buck converter concepts and applications
  • Experience with project management using JIRA
