Summary
OneStream is seeking a Software Quality Engineer with strong Microsoft technology experience to join a rapidly growing engineering team. OneStream provides Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software for large enterprises, supporting complex deployments both on customer premises and in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Our Quality Engineering team combines rigorous manual and automated testing practices with AI-powered tools to expand test coverage and improve efficiency. The core platform spans OLAP, multidimensional, multi-server, multi-threaded, web, and SQL technologies built to solve Office of Finance challenges for the world's largest organizations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, document, and track software bugs, defects, and regressions through resolution.
- Design, develop, execute, and debug automated and manual test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Validate and document test coverage and completion criteria for each product release.
- Build and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support product releases by testing and validating fixes, enhancements, and new features.
- Partner with developers and product owners throughout the SDLC to build quality in from design through release.
- Apply strong technical skills across all aspects of QA, including setting up complex environments that simulate production configurations.
- Test API, web, and service-layer functionality (REST/SOAP, Web Services) across each product's functional areas.
- Leverage AI-powered testing and automation tools (e.g., AI-assisted test case generation, self-healing test scripts, intelligent test data creation) to increase test coverage and efficiency.
- Evaluate, pilot, and integrate emerging AI/ML-based QA tools and practices into the team's testing and automation workflows.
Required Education and Experience
- 5+ years quality assurance experience.
- Experience testing enterprise, cloud/SaaS, or web applications.
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Experience with the following technologies: C#, SQL Server, Web Services (REST/SOAP), ASP.NET, MVC, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS; Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps (or equivalent CI/CD tooling).
- Experience using AI-assisted testing and automation tools (e.g. AI-based test generation and self-healing automation platforms).
- Familiarity with applying generative AI, including prompt engineering, to accelerate test case design, test data generation, and automation script development.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field; ISTQB or equivalent QA certification a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML-based quality engineering tools, or a strong interest in applying AI to improve software testing and quality practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and OLAP/multidimensional consolidation software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, or other EPM solutions).

Travel
