Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst that will add their software QA experience to a team focused on building new tools that help our customers modernize their traditional customer communications processes.
This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ongoing functional testing of enhancements, defects, etc., for web-based applications, along with document production software
- Assuming ownership of testing for potentially multiple customer projects
- Creation of detailed test plans and test cases to exercise functionality
- Defect reporting, tracking and analysis
- Timely communication of progress to manager
- Some 2nd tier customer support as needed to address questions and issues raised by our customers
- Other day to day testing activities as they arise
- Bringing ideas to the team to improve testing process and overall product quality
You Must Have:
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Proven capability in the fundamentals of software quality assurance, including test planning, test case creation and documentation
- Strong communication skills; able to understand and relate concepts, findings and updates to a variety of personnel
- Ability to operate in an individual setting and in collaboration with team members and others across the organization
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments based upon business and team priorities
- Familiarity with Waterfall concept
We Would Also Prefer:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or related field
- Experience related to confidential and regulated data (PHI, PII, PCI, etc.)
- Experience using Atlassian JIRA, or similar project management software
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar products
- Experience with QA of document production software (billing statements, EOBs, ANOCs, invoices, etc.) and mailing and shipping processes
- Experience using automated testing tools to enhance testing capabilities
- Understanding of data manipulation and ETL experience
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
