Our Solution Architect serves as the technical bridge between our sales team and prospective clients. This individual leads discovery of customer requirements, architects solutions, and demonstrates how Epistemix’s platform can solve complex business problems. You will support the growth of Epistemix by accelerating the time it takes to get worked scoped and agreed to with customers. You will work within the CEO, CPO, Enterprise Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Data Scientists, and key members of the customer success team to increase revenue and build repeatable products that support recurring revenue for Epistemix.

About Epistemix

Epistemix helps organizations forecast outcomes and manage risk by modeling how people behave. Our platform consists of two core products: Populus, which provides access to realistic, high-resolution synthetic population data, and Polaris, which enables scenario planning through advanced data science and simulation. Together, they empower customers to evaluate the potential impact of strategies before deploying them in the real world.

Organizations across healthcare, consumer industries, insurance, and government use Epistemix to reduce uncertainty, optimize decisions, and accelerate time to value. Whether estimating total addressable market, testing public health interventions, or forecasting behavior change, our tools help teams make confident decisions when preexisting data may not exist.

Leading up to our Series B financing, we are hiring key roles onto the team and entering an exciting phase of growth and innovation. Join us to combine cutting-edge technology with a purpose-driven mission to make the world a better place.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the process to develop scopes of work (SOWs) alongside sales, customer success, and product.

  • Partner closely with the CEO, CPO, and customer success to understand customer needs and our product roadmap to deliver high quality SOWs that meet customer needs aligned to the products our team has developed and/or is developing.

  • Translate customer needs into clear, actionable proposals, developing statements of work and guiding strategic discussions that blend technical depth with creative problem-solving.

  • Engage with sales qualified leads (SQLs) to lead discovery sessions and understand technical, data, and strategic needs of customers.

  • Architect solutions that align Epistemix’s capabilities with client use cases, goals, and constraints.

  • Draft statements of work (SOWs), including technical scope, deliverables, timelines, and level of effort.

  • Develop tooling to support Sales Engineers’ ability to prototype solutions that enable you to scope work more efficiently.

Qualifcations
  • Technical fluency with strong product sense.

  • Customer first mindset - you listen to the needs of the customer and connect their needs to capabilities rather than pushing features.

  • Energized by going from concept to execution.

  • 2 years of experience in a company pre-product-market-fit.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts into business value for stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics workflows, and modeling frameworks.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across sales, product, engineering, and delivery.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, scoping loosely defined problems, and crafting creative solutions.

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and operating with urgency.

  • Builder mindset - you enjoy creating solutions and working quickly.

  • Hands on, execution focused, and can think 6-12 months ahead.

  • Strong communicator who knows how to align stakeholders and build trust across functions.

  • Passion for startups, teams, and helping people.

Nice to Have Experience
  • Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, insurance, or consumer insights.

  • Experience building or scaling a product from 1 to 1,000 users.

  • A network of connections in data science, pharma, health tech, consumer insights, reinsurance, and other growing data science companies.
