Solution Specialist – Managed Services & Smart Platforms

 

The Solution Specialist – Managed Services & Smart Platforms is responsible for accelerating growth across Pomeroy's Managed Services portfolio while driving adoption of Smart Platforms and AI-enabled service offerings.

This individual serves as a strategic overlay seller, partnering with Account Managers to create demand, shape opportunities, expand recurring revenue, and transform customer conversations from traditional support models to modern AI-enabled service experiences.

This role exists to accelerate the growth of Pomeroy's managed services business by driving recurring revenue, expanding strategic customer relationships, and increasing adoption of Smart Platforms that transform customer operations through automation, AI, and proactive service delivery.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with Account Managers throughout the sales cycle including discovery, qualification, solution development, proposal creation, and deal strategy.
• Independently create and pursue managed services opportunities.
• Drive managed services expansion within existing customers.
• Support strategic renewals by helping develop expansion and growth strategies.
• Lead executive-level conversations around operational efficiency, automation, service transformation, and AI-enabled support models.
• Improve managed services attach rates across the portfolio.
• Position Smart Platforms as strategic business solutions rather than technology features.
• Influence account strategy, deal strategy, pricing, and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with delivery leadership to ensure alignment and long-term customer success.

CANDIDATE PROFILE


• Bachelor’s degree

• 7-10+ years proven managed services sales experience
• Experience selling recurring services and outsourcing solutions
• Strong consultative selling skills
• Executive-level communication and presentation capabilities
• Ability to articulate business value, automation, AI, and operational outcomes
• Experience working with complex enterprise opportunities
• Ability to operate effectively in an overlay sales model
• Strong understanding of modern managed services and platform-led solutions
