Your Role

We’re looking for a Solutions Architect to help build the technical foundation that powers Zip’s ERP and integration ecosystem. This role focuses on internal technical enablement, navigating complex customer environments to architect the cleanest possible solutions, partnering closely with Product, and driving best-in-class standards across all of Zip’s integration workflows - with a specific focus on the Workday Financials ecosystem.

As Zip continues to scale rapidly across enterprise customers like Coinbase, Notion, Canva, Samsara, Snowflake, and Databricks, your impact will be foundational: creating reusable integration assets, defining standards of how the Zip product interacts with external systems.

You Will

You’ll work closely with our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams while reporting to Engineering to design, maintain, and iterate on Zip-owned ERP and integration templates that power scalable, repeatable customer implementations. Your work will directly influence how hundreds of future implementations are delivered, raising the technical bar for both our EPD teams and our customer-facing technical consultant organization.

  • Architect & standardize Workday integrations: Design, maintain, and iterate on Zip’s core Workday Financials and Procurement integration templates, ensuring they deliver scalable, repeatable, and robust customer implementations.

  • Bridge product & the field: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) to ensure integration templates stay perfectly aligned with core product architecture, field insights, and emerging customer needs.

  • Turn nuance into scale: Analyze complex customer implementations to identify reusable data mapping patterns and system nuances, converting bespoke solutions into standardized internal assets.

  • Support pre-sales engineering: Partner with account teams during pre-sales to design and vet integration architectures, ensuring prospective customers are set up for smooth, best-practice deployments.

  • Drive technical implementation excellence: Define, document, and champion technical solution consulting best practices, raising the technical bar and driving consistency across all implementations.

  • Become a Multi-ERP expert: Leverage your existing Workday, P2P, and financial systems expertise to build deep fluency across additional ERP ecosystems, ultimately becoming the ultimate subject matter expert on integration architecture, data models, and Zip’s App Studio.

  • Build for permanent scale: Approach every technical challenge with an engineering mindset - designing and executing a solution thoroughly once so that future implementations happen effortlessly. You balance high-level architectural design with a willingness to dive directly into API configurations and template modifications to get the job done right.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience delivering integrations with Workday Financials.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of core Workday Financials business processes, data models, and the Foundation Data Model (FDM) layout, specifically within Core Financials, Procurement, and Supplier Accounts.

  • Familiarity with standard Workday integration methods and tools, such as Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Web Services (WWS), and RaaS (Reports-as-a-Service).

  • Familiarity with iPaaS tools is preferred, but we welcome candidates with strong core integration logic who can learn new platform tools quickly.

  • Experience working with XML / REST based endpoints and standard authentication protocols.

  • Past ERP implementation, integration, configuration or administration experience is required.

  • Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge.

  • Comfortable working with API documentation.

  • Comfortable testing and troubleshooting integration errors.

  • Able to understand customer requirements and document that information quickly, with little oversight

  • A continual learner and open to learning new technologies that Zip may integrate with in the future.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Extreme attention to detail and pride yourself in being incredibly proactive.

  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.

  • Process-driven with a strong bias toward continuous improvement; you consistently look for opportunities to make systems better than you found them through systematic improvement.

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $200,000 OTE. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
