Position Summary 

The Solutions Architect collaborates with customers and internal teams to design and deliver technical solutions that address business requirements and align with industry best practices. This role applies foundational architectural knowledge to own less complex projects or contribute to components of larger solutions. The Solutions Architect partners with senior architects, sales, delivery, and operations teams to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and secure, while continuing to build expertise through training, mentorship, and project delivery. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work directly with customers to gather technical requirements and translate them into effective solution designs 
  • Design and deliver complete solutions for small-to-medium projects or contribute to larger enterprise solutions 
  • Apply systems and architecture design fundamentals to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with RTS best practices 
  • Collaborate with senior Solutions Architects and internal teams (sales, delivery, engineering, operations, support) to drive successful project outcomes 
  • Support evaluation and recommendation of technology platforms, tools, and frameworks that optimize performance and security 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve solution-related issues, escalating complex problems as needed 
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats to technical audiences and stakeholders 
  • Participate in knowledge sharing, documentation, and process improvement initiatives within the Solutions Architecture team 
  • Engage in structured training and mentorship opportunities to expand expertise across technology domains and cloud platforms 
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and architectural best practices to enhance solution quality and innovation 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered 

  • 3–5 years of relevant IT or solutions architecture experience 

  • Understanding of architectural and design principles with ability to apply them to solution delivery 

  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C#, PowerShell, Java) 

  • General knowledge in one or more technology domains such as software development, systems engineering, infrastructure, networking, security, or data & analytics 

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and common architectural patterns 

  • Ability to create proofs-of-concept, demos, or scripts to validate technical approaches 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with experience engaging technical stakeholders
