About the role

ChartHop is hiring a Solutions Consultant who lives at the intersection of product mastery and sales storytelling. This isn't a role for someone who reads from slides. It's for someone who walks into a room, reads the buyers, and builds a narrative on the fly that makes a sophisticated product feel obvious and inevitable.

Our platform connects workforce, business, and financial data inside a single AI-powered system. It's genuinely powerful, and it takes real technical depth to understand it fully. The SC role owns the product demonstration across our full sales cycle, from first look to final proof of concept, and the standard here is high. Demos are tailored. Questions get real answers. Buyers leave feeling seen.

You'll work closely with Account Executives to shape deal strategy, support RFP and proof-of-concept engagements, and serve as the voice of the product in the room. HR leaders, Finance stakeholders, and C-suite executives are your audience. Complexity is your raw material. Clarity is what you deliver.

What you'll do

Demonstrate with intent

  • Own and deliver discovery-led product demonstrations that connect to each buyer's specific business pain, org structure, and strategic goals.

  • Configure and personalize demo environments to reflect the customer's world, their data models, their terminology, their workflows.

  • Make complex functionality feel intuitive by controlling pacing, narrative, and emphasis in real time.

  • Handle live technical questions with depth and confidence, knowing when to go deep and when to stay strategic.

Drive the technical sale

  • Partner with AEs throughout the full sales cycle, from qualification through close, as the primary technical and product resource.

  • Lead proof-of-concept engagements, coordinating configuration, timelines, and success criteria with the prospect and internal teams.

  • Respond to RFPs and security questionnaires with accurate, compelling content that advances the deal.

  • Build and maintain a library of demo assets, POC playbooks, and objection-handling resources that scale across the team.

Connect product to buyer value

  • Translate platform capabilities into business outcomes that resonate with HR, People Ops, Finance, and executive stakeholders.

  • Identify and articulate competitive differentiation clearly and credibly, without knocking the competition.

  • Stay deeply current on ChartHop's product roadmap, positioning, and packaging so you're always selling what's real and what's coming.

  • Bring customer and prospect feedback into the product and go-to-market conversation, serving as a signal from the field.

What we're looking for

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years in a Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role at a SaaS company.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex product demonstrations to executive buyers in a consultative, discovery-driven format.

  • Strong technical aptitude: you can configure software environments, learn new platforms quickly, and field detailed product questions without flinching.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a particular talent for simplifying without dumbing down.

  • Comfort presenting to mixed audiences that include HR leaders, Finance stakeholders, and C-suite decision makers.

  • Experience managing proof-of-concept engagements with multiple stakeholders and competing timelines.

  • A track record of treating demos as a craft: you prepare deliberately, personalize relentlessly, and debrief honestly.

Preferred qualifications

  • Direct experience in HR Technology: HRIS, HCM, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, or adjacent categories.

  • Familiarity with the HR tech ecosystem and the vendors, integration patterns, and buyer dynamics that shape it.

  • Experience selling into the 200-2,000 employee range where HR and Finance alignment is a frequent deal driver.

  • Exposure to AI-powered products and the ability to explain agentic capabilities to buyers who are curious but cautious.

  • Proficiency with tools commonly used in the pre-sales workflow: CRM systems, demo environment management, RFP platforms.

Why ChartHop

ChartHop is the AI-powered people operations platform that connects headcount planning, HRIS, compensation, performance, engagement, and goals inside a single intelligent system. We're used by HR and Finance teams at companies ranging from high-growth startups to established enterprises who are tired of stitching together point solutions and waiting on analysts for answers that should take seconds.

This role comes with real ownership. You won't be the second or third person in the room. You'll be the one prospects trust to tell them the truth about what the product can do and how it maps to their problems. That trust is earned, and when you earn it, it moves deals.

Who thrives here

The best SCs we've seen share a few things. They're curious about the product and take the time to understand it at a level most salespeople don't bother with. They're confident in the room, not because they have a perfect script, but because they actually know the answers. They care about the buyer's outcome more than their own agenda in any given meeting. And they believe that a great demo is a form of respect for the prospect's time.

If that describes how you work, we'd like to talk.

Compensation:

$185,000 OTE (base at $155k + variable at $30k)- $275,000 OTE (base at $175k + variable at $100k)
