What you will be doing:

  • Supporting pre-sales and customer engagements by understanding requirements and mapping them to software solutions.
  • Participating in discovery calls, onsite discovery meetings, solution scoping, and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborating closely with sales, product, and services teams to ensure accurate solution alignment.
  • Positioning yourself as a subject matter expert to build rapport and trust with potential and current customers.
  • Continuously building product, industry, and technical knowledge.
Job Summary / Purpose:

The Solution Engineer is an active member of the Solution Engineering team who partners with sales and internal stakeholders to translate customer needs into effective technical solutions. This role focuses on knowledge of the platform, engaging with customers, and supporting solution design and delivery while building credibility through product knowledge, demos, and discovery conversations.

You will work closely with Solution Engineering peers, Sales teams, Product partners, Customer Success Managers, and Services teams to deliver cohesive, customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Leads discovery conversations to uncover customer dining, retail, and cashless payment workflows and translate them into clear technical requirements.
  • Develops and delivers compelling product demonstrations that showcase Quickcharge POS, cashless payment programs, kiosks, and mobile ordering experiences.
  • Guides customers and internal stakeholders by articulating workflow improvements, solution fit, and operational value.
  • Supports sales cycles by providing technical expertise, solution clarification, and authoritative responses to customer questions and objections.
  • Designs end‑to‑end Quickcharge solutions across POS, kiosk, mobile ordering, account funding, and cashless payment programs.
  • Defines technical requirements, integration points, hardware specifications, and environmental dependencies for accurate solution scoping.
  • Develops solution documentation, workflow diagrams, and scoping artifacts to ensure clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Evaluates potential solution risks and proactively recommends alternatives or mitigating approaches.
  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working in the Healthcare market in a technical aspect preferred.
  • Previous enterprise software experience (2+ years preferable)
  • 3 - 5 years technical experience, preferably in One Card, Point of Sale (POS), and Mobile Ordering.
  • Comprehension of software architecture with an understanding of enterprise software applications. SaaS products are preferred.
  • Understanding of enterprise system deployment environments and integrations to include authentication services, restful APIs, event messaging, and network topography.
  • Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated 
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision-making and collaboration skills
  • A self-motivated, quick learner, who has a desire to win business  
  • Proven ability to manage time, multi-task and excel in a deadline-oriented environment while supporting several proposal projects simultaneously.

Software skill requirements:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Online Collaborations tools – proficient with conducting online meetings using solutions such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Experience working with Quickcharge commerce solution or similar solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Serve as the technical and solution expert for Quickcharge during pre‑sales and customer engagements.
  • Lead or support discovery conversations to understand dining, retail, and payment workflows across healthcare, corporate, K‑12, or campus environments.
  • Translate customer operational needs into well‑scoped Quickcharge solutions, aligning POS, cashless payments, and mobile ordering capabilities.
  • Deliver product demonstrations that clearly articulate value, workflow impact, and differentiation.
  • Support sales teams with solution positioning, technical validation, and response to customer questions or objections.
  • Design end‑to‑end Quickcharge solutions, including POS, kiosks, mobile ordering, and account‑based payment programs.
  • Accurately scope system configurations, integrations, and hardware requirements.
  • Identify technical constraints, dependencies, and risks early in the sales cycle.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure solutions are feasible, supportable, and aligned with product standards.
  • Contribute to pricing, quoting, and configuration accuracy as needed.

This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state wage-and-hour laws.
