About The Role

As a Solutions Engineer on our Solutions Engineering team, you will be a key technical partner to our sales and customer success organizations, helping prospects and customers understand how our Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions can solve their most complex security and compliance challenges. In this salaried, full-time role, you will own the technical aspects of the sales cycle—from discovery and solution design to customized demonstrations and proof-of-concept initiatives. You will work closely with account executives, product management, and engineering to translate business requirements into scalable, secure architectures leveraging modern identity standards. This role is remote-friendly but requires residence on the East Coast of the US, and is ideal for a self-motivated, highly organized team player with strong communication skills and hands-on IAM experience.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with account executives throughout the sales cycle to understand customer requirements and design tailored IAM and IGA solutions that address security, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Lead and deliver high-impact product demonstrations that showcase core IAM/IGA capabilities, including access governance, provisioning, lifecycle management, and policy enforcement.
  • Design and build custom demo environments and proof-of-concept (POC) implementations, including data modeling, configuration, and integration with customer systems.
  • Engage with technical stakeholders (security teams, identity architects, IT operations, developers) to perform technical discovery, requirement gathering, and solution validation.
  • Architect and explain solutions using modern identity standards and protocols such as SCIM and SAML, as well as REST-based API integrations with directories, HRIS, and SaaS applications.
  • Create technical documentation, solution diagrams, and implementation guides that clearly articulate recommended architectures and integration patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to relay customer feedback, influence product roadmap priorities, and stay ahead of evolving IAM and IGA use cases.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses and security questionnaires by contributing accurate, detailed technical content related to IAM/IGA capabilities and integrations.
  • Deliver presentations and technical workshops—both remote and onsite—for prospects, customers, and partners, tailoring the level of depth to executive, business, and technical audiences.
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Success and Professional Services to ensure a smooth handoff from pre-sales to implementation, aligning expectations and solution design.
  • Continuously refine and improve demo scripts, environments, and technical sales assets to increase effectiveness and repeatability across the Solutions Engineering team.
  • Maintain a high level of self-organization and ownership over your territory, managing multiple opportunities, POCs, and stakeholder demands in parallel.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in IAM, IGA, and security to serve as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and participating in internal enablement sessions.

Qualifications

  • Located on the East Coast of the United States, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams across US time zones.
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales, or similar technical customer-facing role supporting enterprise solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms, including configuration and deployment of common use cases.
  • Strong understanding of modern identity standards and protocols such as SAML and SCIM, with the ability to design and explain end-to-end authentication, authorization, and provisioning flows.
  • Experience building, testing, and troubleshooting RESTful API integrations between identity platforms and third-party applications, directories, or HR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver compelling technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept environments customized to customer requirements.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage executives, business stakeholders, and deep technical audiences.
  • Proven organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a track record of taking initiative, solving problems independently, and driving opportunities forward.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and contributes positively to team culture and shared goals.
  • Comfortable using common tools in a pre-sales environment (e.g., diagramming tools, CRM systems, collaboration platforms) and documenting technical solutions clearly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in IAM/IGA and technical sales.
  • Bonus: Experience with additional identity standards (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), directory services (e.g., AD, LDAP), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
