Job Summary

We're looking for a curious, customer focused Solutions Engineer to support the technical side of the sales cycle, helping prospects and customers understand how Snyk finds, fixes, and prevents security issues in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure. You'll build hands-on product expertise, run demos and proof of concepts for well defined accounts, and grow into owning more complex deals as you develop. It's a strong entry point into technical pre-sales at a company building the security layer for an AI native software world.

About the Team

You'll join Snyk's Solutions Engineering team, the technical bridge between our Sales, Product, and Customer Success organizations. The team partners daily with Account Executives and channel partners to show prospects and customers what Snyk can do, and you'll work closely with Senior and Staff Solutions Engineers who help you ramp on the product and the sales motion.

What You’ll Do

● Learn Snyk's platform in depth so you can run clear, credible technical demonstrations for prospects and customers

● Support the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including demos, proof of concepts, and product questions, with guidance from your manager or a senior teammate

● Educate customers and partners on open source and cloud native security, and why empowering developers to fix issues early matters

● Interface with engineering, product, and customer success teams to relay customer feedback and help build solutions for well defined accounts

● Share what you learn from customer conversations with the broader Solutions Engineering team, feeding into how we position Snyk

● Work with channel partners on demos and proof of concepts, building your understanding of how they sell and support Snyk

● Document proof of concept outcomes and common objections so the team can reuse what you learn

● Take on increasingly complex accounts and technical scenarios as you build product depth and sales fluency

What you’ll bring

● 2+ years of experience in sales engineering, software development, or a related technical customer facing role, or equivalent hands on experience

● Familiarity with a range of coding languages and how they fit together

● A working understanding of developer and DevOps ecosystems and practices

● Genuine curiosity about new technologies and a habit of digging into how things work

● Comfort setting your own milestones on a task, communicating progress, and asking for help when you hit something new

● Interest in or early experience working with technical customers, including at the mid market or enterprise level

● A team oriented mindset and a genuine interest in learning from more senior teammates

● Nice to have: a developer background or hands on coding experience

● Nice to have: experience in an early stage or fast growing startup, especially in developer tooling

● Nice to have: working fluency with AI assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Gemini

We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’ve created and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. If you like the sound of this role but are not totally sure whether you’re the right person, do apply anyway!
