Sourcing Manager Position Summary

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a roster of Service Partners to provide specialized services throughout the company’s service area. These Service Partners provide commercial landscape maintenance, commercial snow and ice management, and other services as required by our clients. The Sourcing Manager is accountable for understanding the needs of the business, developing sourcing goals and campaigns to meet those goals, maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and active Service Partners, and maintaining records of Service Partners’ KPI’s and performance metrics.


Sourcing Manager Responsibilities

  • Source, vet and manage Service Partners with an emphasis on certified, diverse businesses
  • Personally place outbound calls, conduct screening meetings, and position new Service Partner prospects for follow up with the appropriate member(s) of the Operations Team
  • Manage seasonal and/or contract Sourcing Specialists
  • Maintain Service Partner sourcing database
  • Maintain Service Partner KPI and Performance Metric database
  • Establish and maintain an active presence on LinkedIn and other professional networking platforms
  • Attend networking events, industry trade shows and other events where Service Partner relationships can be started or developed
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all support departments and functions
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand current and future sourcing needs 
  • Support, promote, and employ the Outworx Mission, Vision and Values in interactions with    employees and customers
  • Maintain an environment that complies with company policies as well as OSHA, Federal, State and Local regulations and laws
  • Other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission and abide by our organizational values

Sourcing Manager Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to quickly learn systems such as Salesforce, Gatekeeper, Tipalti and others
  • Excellent communicator-able to manage a high volume of communications with internal partners and Service Partners
  • Willingness to work prolonged hours and an irregular schedule, particularly during peak periods    
  • Accurately track and manage multiple projects simultaneously            
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to solve complex problems
  • Motivated, ability to flourish with minimal guidance 
  • Able to effectively lead seasonal and contract sourcing specialists as needed         
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred/comparable experience considered
  • Snow and Ice Management or Commercial Landscape Management experience required, preferably both
  • Travel of approximately 10%-15%

Physical Requirements: 

  • Walk, sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less, working on computer screen for long periods of time
