This role is specifically focused on Special Hazards systems and is not a kitchen suppression or gas-station suppression sales position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow new installation sales throughout the assigned New England territory.
  • Generate new business through cold outreach, networking, referrals, industry relationships, and other business development activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with end users, sprinkler contractors, general contractors, and other industry partners.
  • Manage both self-generated and internally generated sales opportunities.
  • Conduct customer meetings and job-site visits to understand project requirements.
  • Develop estimates, proposals, and presentations for prospective customers.
  • Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through contract award.
  • Negotiate pricing and project scope while maintaining profitability.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, activity records, and forecasts within the company CRM.
  • Consistently work toward and achieve established sales and revenue goals.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop appropriate technical solutions and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Management to ensure a successful handoff following contract award.
  • Represent the organization at customer meetings, networking events, trade shows, and industry functions as needed.

Special Hazards Experience
  • Sell and develop new installation opportunities involving clean agent, foam, and CO₂ fire suppression systems.
  • Apply knowledge of special hazards applications to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Familiarity with manufacturers such as Kidde-Fenwal, Fike, ANSUL, or comparable systems is strongly preferred.
  • Evaluate customer sites and gather information needed for accurate scopes, estimates, and proposals.
  • Stay current on special hazards products, applications, and industry trends.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct fire protection/special hazards industry experience required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Previous B2B sales or business development experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of clean agent fire suppression systems.
  • Experience selling clean agent, foam, CO₂, or other special hazards systems strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and build a sales pipeline.
  • Experience selling to end users, sprinkler contractors, general contractors, or other fire protection/construction customers preferred.
  • Ability to conduct site visits and develop estimates and proposals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and meet revenue targets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $120,000–$130,000 base salary
  • $40,000–$50,000+ target annual commission
  • Monthly vehicle stipend
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO, paid holidays, and sick time
  • Ongoing technical training and professional development
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Career growth opportunities
