The Commercial Operations Specialist supports marketing campaigns, events management, logistics, client communication, and reporting while collaborating with various FIFA teams and external partners for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Reporting to the Executive Director Commercial Operations, the Commercial Operations Specialist will be a key member of the FIFA26 Commercial Operations team, and work in close collaboration with the Host City Director and other key individuals responsible for delivering best-in-class design solutions for the FWC26.
THE POSITION
This role works across a number of functional areas in Commercial Operations such as, Marketing, Promotions, Host City Commercial Operations, Licensing & Retail and FIFA Fan Festival, with the main responsibilities including:
- Assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns (digital, print, social, etc.).
- Managing campaign calendars to ensure that all activities are completed on schedule.
- Assist in implementing marketing operations requirements at all other ancillary events held in the Host City
- Assisting in planning and coordinating events such as product launches, webinars, trade shows, and other promotional events.
- Handling logistics such as venue booking, vendor coordination, and on-site setups for special events and marketing activations around FIFA World Cup 2026.
- Support the local legs of the Trophy Tours either in project planning or on-site delivery
- Ensure that FIFA rights and assets are leveraged correctly and work with FIFA functional areas & Host Committees to build auxiliary events and revenue opportunities
- Handle all premium items and work with internal and external vendors to track items needed for marketing and brand department
- Support the development and execution of marketing and promotional campaigns for licensed merchandise, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with media outlets or platforms to ensure timely and accurate placement of advertisements.
- Compiling and presenting reports to senior management on campaign performance, return on investment (ROI), and recommendations for improvement.
- Working with external agencies, printers, and other vendors to produce marketing materials (flyers, banners, advertisements).
- Work with the FIFA Fan Festival team to provide boots on the ground support and work with the loca host committees on their FIFA Fan Festival plans
- Responsible and comfortable with working with several projects and managing expectations accordingly
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree or similar higher education
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in project management and coordinating large events
- Strong client management skills and agency background advantageous
- Demonstrated excellent communication and organization skills
- Experience in entertainment, agency or sport advantageous
- Experience working in organizations with international offices/staff
- Mid-level management experience
- Fluent in English
- Proficient in Project Management tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project, Teams) and planning software
- Outlook Email, scheduling, and online collaboration tools.
