The Sports Official will officiate youth sports games, primarily in baseball/t-ball, while upholding YMCA values and ensuring player safety. Responsibilities include knowledge of rules, working weekends, and passing background checks.
The Twin Lakes Family YMCA (Cedar Park is hiring Youth Sports Officials. This is a part-time position. We are offering $260 bonus for new staff!
- Primary need at this time is baseball/t-ball, but we do have opportunities in all sports
- Must possess some knowledge of rules and policies in various sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, football and baseball.
- Must be available to work Saturdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm, as well as some week days from 4:30pm to 9pm.
- Experience as a sports referee preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal history background check, sex offender registry check and reference checks.
Job requirements include:
- Must be able to work weeknights as well as Saturdays from 8am to 5pm
- Must possess some knowledge of rules and policies in various sports such as basketball, baseball, football, soccer and volleyball
- Have a general knowledge of fitness and wellness
- Have strong communication and organizational skills
- Have a neat appearance and be well-groomed
- Be CPR/AED and First Aid certified or willing to be certified within first 30 days of employment
- Be willing to uphold the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, responsibility respect, and faith
Pay Rate: $13.00 to $19.00/hour
