This role is a chance to shape and scale a modern accounting function in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. We’re looking for a driven Accounting Manager who wants to build, streamline, and elevate how accounting operates at Apollo.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership and partner across the company while owning key pieces of our accounting operations. You bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and experience applying accounting guidance in real-world scenarios. You communicate clearly, solve problems with data, and continuously look for ways to improve processes and outcomes.

What you’ll do
  • You will own the monthly, quarterly, annual close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP

  • You are an expert in accounting systems, including Netsuite and procurement tools like Airbase

  • You’ll process vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and payroll

  • You’ll own assigned technical accounting areas such as internal-use software

  • You will assist the Director of Accounting in driving operational excellence by spearheading transformative projects through the adoption of new systems, processes, and operational guidelines

  • You will work closely with FP&A to maintain our Chart of Accounts and financial reporting templates

  • You will support our annual financial audits and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors on assigned areas

  • You will work with cross functional teams throughout the procure to pay process as well as technical accounting areas such as internal-use software


Who you are
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in both public and high-growth start-up environments

  • You have a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting related to Software companies (SaaS), and international accounting

  • You’re a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • You’re passionate about building and eager to take on new challenges

  • You’re an experienced user of Netsuite and Bill.com or Airbase, and you have experience with system changes or implementations

  • You are a strong communicator with excellent project management, organizational, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
