This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, Tennessee. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Supports efforts to provide technical expertise and support for planning, developing, organizing, and coordinating small and medium programs/projects. Research evaluates and recommends new technologies, methodologies, processes, and products to achieve innovative improvements. Collects, analyzes, and produces financial and performance indicators and forecasts.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to manage competing demands while maintaining out of the box thinking.
  • Knowledge in agile product development life cycle (PDLC) and/or software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies with some experience leading projects.
  • Product launch from "0 to 1” optimizing it for "1 to many" in your portfolio.
  • Focus on scale with the flexibility to adapt in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Experienced in partnering with and bringing multiple departments into alignment.
  • Able to communicate complex data in a simple format to share decisions, process updates and tradeoffs to large audiences (i.e. in-person meetings, asynchronous meetings, email, and/or shared live docs).
  • Process-driven with a bias toward action. Bonus points for experience within high-growth tech startup.
  • Solution based thinking with the ability to break down complex concepts into understandable, smaller and sequential deliverables
  • Influencing skills to guide stakeholders to understand vision, resources, priorities, and definition of completion/release.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in project/program management, product development, systems design/development or business/financial planning and analysis.,
  • Ability to tailor communications of complex concepts to all levels in an understandable manner
  • Experience in the use of project management/planning software
  • Experience in planning major projects including development of project proposals, business cases, schedules and financial justification.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with customers effectively and present ideas and solutions in a user language.

JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Some travel required

PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Experience working with enterprise level contracts

Experience leading technical projects including software and hardware initiatives in a datacenter context

PMP or equivalent certification
